INTEGRATION - (please note I do not offer underground psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy).

Psychedelics are not new. They have been used in Indigenous contexts, spanning all continents since the beginning of time. As Western culture has moved away from nature through colonisation and as neo- colonisation persists, the ‘practices, the rituals and ceremonies’ have been labeled , illegal, uncivilised, devilish and dangerous. It is no surprise that people look for different perspectives and narratives to what can be labeled an overburdened mental health system. Perhaps traveling to the Jungles of Peru for Ayahuasca, Mexico for psilocybe, Africa for Iboga or attending underground ceremonies.

With the emergent and interest of the healing potential and increase of and use of psychoactive substances you also have an increase of inherent risks.

I work with people who have experienced difficulties making sense of, or integrating their “psychedelic experience”.

Challenging pyschdellic experiences are varied and range from

  • Feeling like you are not in your body. Life is not real.

  • Experiences that have completely disestablished or shattered your understanding of you.

  • Uncovering trauma memories. Are they real?

  • Feeling like you dont belong in the world anymore. Nothing makes sense.

  • Feelings of grandeur

  • Been given a special mission or message, not sure how to make sense of it.

And so much more……

Creating a safe container to explore and integrate.
